By accessing or using Geaux Guide, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the website. Some features or services described in these Terms are not yet available and will apply only if and when they are offered.

Geaux Guide is a general-audience local discovery website, and visitors of all ages may browse our directory and events. However, to submit a business listing, submit an event, enter into any paid agreement or sponsorship, or otherwise act on behalf of a business or organization, you represent that you have the legal authority and right to do so. Participants in any text messaging (SMS) program we may offer in the future must be at least 18 years old, as described in our SMS Text Messaging Terms below.

Geaux Guide is a local events and business directory serving Greater Baton Rouge and surrounding Louisiana parishes. We provide listings, an events calendar, related content, and may from time to time offer additional services. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the website or a service at any time without notice.

You may submit a business for inclusion in the Geaux Guide directory. We review submissions before they are published and may approve, decline, edit, or remove any listing at our discretion. Submitting a listing does not guarantee it will be published, and a published listing may be removed or modified at any time.

Listings remain in a pending review state until approved by an editor and are not publicly visible until approved. We are not obligated to provide a reason for declining or removing a listing.

If you are the owner or authorized representative of a listed business, you may request to claim and update that listing. We may require verification of your authority before granting claim or editing access. We may revoke claim or editing access if we believe it is being used improperly or the information is inaccurate.

You may submit events to the Geaux Guide calendar. You represent that the event information you submit is accurate and that you have the right to submit it. You are responsible for the accuracy of event details, including dates, times, locations, and descriptions. We may edit, decline, or remove submitted events at our discretion.

Geaux Guide may offer featured listings, advertising, sponsorship placements, and other promotional opportunities. The availability, placement, and pricing of these opportunities, if offered, will be described separately at the time they are available. We reserve the right to decline any advertising or sponsorship request and to determine the placement and appearance of promotional content on the website.

We may in the future offer paid services such as premium listings, subscriptions, sponsorships, or other paid features. Any such services are not currently available. If we offer paid services in the future, the terms governing payment, renewal, cancellation, and refunds for those services will be provided before you purchase them, and they will be subject to these Terms except where separately stated.

When you submit content to Geaux Guide — including business information, event details, photographs, logos, or other materials — you represent that the content is accurate, that you own or have the right to submit it, and that it does not infringe the rights of any third party.

You grant Geaux Guide a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, reproduce, and distribute the submitted content on and in connection with the website for the purpose of operating the directory and related promotional use. This license is limited to the uses described here and does not transfer ownership of your content to Geaux Guide. You may request removal of your content as described in our Privacy Policy.

You agree not to submit content that is unlawful, misleading, infringes others' rights, or is otherwise objectionable. We may remove or decline any submission at our discretion.

The Geaux Guide name, logo, website design, and original content are the property of Robin & Main, LLC and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not use our branding or original content without our prior written permission, except as permitted by law. Your submitted content remains your property subject to the limited license granted above.

Geaux Guide may list businesses and events operated by third parties and may contain links to third-party websites. We do not endorse and are not responsible for the products, services, conduct, content, or practices of those third parties. Transactions or interactions you have with listed businesses or event organizers, or through third-party websites, are solely between you and that third party. We encourage you to review the terms and policies of any third party before doing business with them.

Some features of Geaux Guide may require an account. If you create an account, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that we believe violate these Terms or are being used improperly.

We may in the future offer an optional text messaging (SMS) program. Any such program is not currently active, and these terms will apply only if and when we offer it.

Program description. If offered, our SMS program may include messages such as event reminders and updates for events you have expressed interest in, status updates about business listings you have submitted or claimed, and occasional news or updates about Greater Baton Rouge events and local businesses.

Opt-in and separate consent. Participation is opt-in only. We will obtain your separate, express consent before sending you any marketing text messages. Agreeing to these Terms, submitting a business listing or event, or otherwise using the website does not constitute consent to receive marketing text messages. Consent for transactional or account-related messages is separate from consent for marketing messages, and we will treat them independently.

Opting out. You may cancel SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message we send. You may request assistance by replying HELP to any message. For additional help, contact us at info@geauxguide.com or by phone or text at 225-430-2121.

Message frequency. Message frequency varies and depends on the program and your selections.

Message and data rates. Standard message and data rates from your mobile carrier may apply to the messages you send and receive.

Carrier support and liability. Our program, if offered, is intended to support major U.S. wireless carriers, subject to availability. Your carrier may not be supported. Participating carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Eligibility. You must be at least 18 years old and, where required, the account holder or an authorized user of the mobile number, to participate in any SMS program.

Your privacy. Our use of mobile numbers and SMS consent is described in our Privacy Policy. We will not share your mobile information or SMS consent with third parties or affiliates for their independent marketing or promotional purposes.

The website is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the website will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any listing or event information is accurate or current.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Robin & Main, LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or revenue, arising from your use of or inability to use the website or any content or listing on it, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Robin & Main, LLC and its members, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the website, your submissions, or your violation of these Terms or the rights of any third party.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the website, or remove or disable any listing, event, content, or account, at any time and for any reason, including if we believe you have violated these Terms. Upon termination, the licenses granted by you will end, except that we may retain and continue to use submitted content as needed to operate the directory and as described in these Terms. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect.

These Terms and any dispute arising out of or related to them or your use of the website will be governed by the laws of the State of Louisiana, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. You and Robin & Main, LLC submit to the jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Louisiana for any dispute that cannot be resolved informally.

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. We will post the updated terms on this page and revise the “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. If we make material changes that affect your rights, we will provide appropriate notice as required by law.
